Behind the Scenes: How Our Caps Are Made

Behind the Scenes: How Our Caps Are Made

Ever wonder what goes into making a high-quality cap? From fabric selection to the final stitch, every d’Wonder product goes through a carefully controlled production process designed to deliver consistent quality at wholesale scale.

Step 1 — Material Selection

It starts with the fabric. We work with vetted mills to source cotton, polyester blends, and specialty materials that meet our standards for durability and feel. The front panels, visors, sweatbands, and closure hardware are all selected individually to ensure the finished cap holds its shape and performs across different climates and use cases.

Step 2 — Pattern & Construction

Our production team cuts and assembles each cap to precise specifications. Structured caps get buckram-reinforced front panels for a crisp, defined look. Unstructured styles are crafted to give that relaxed, worn-in fit right out of the box.

Step 3 — Decoration

This is where the magic happens. Whether it’s flat embroidery, 3D puff, leather patches, or heat-applied vinyl, our in-house decoration team handles everything with care. We maintain strict quality control at every stage to make sure every logo, patch, and design is applied exactly as specified.

Step 4 — Quality Check & Packaging

Before a single cap leaves our Orlando warehouse, it goes through a final inspection. We check stitching, structure, colors, and hardware to make sure every piece meets retail standards. Caps are then tagged, bagged, and packed for wholesale shipment.
