How Custom Embroidery Works at d’Wonder

How Custom Embroidery Works at d’Wonder

Embroidery is one of the most popular and durable decoration methods for wholesale headwear — and it’s one of d’Wonder’s core specialties. If you’re thinking about adding custom logos or designs to your caps, here’s exactly how the process works.

Step 1 — Submit Your Artwork

Start by sending us your logo or design file. We accept vector formats (AI, EPS, SVG) for best results, but we can work with high-resolution rasters (PNG, PDF) as well. Our team will evaluate the design for embroidery compatibility and advise on any adjustments needed to ensure it stitches cleanly.

Step 2 — Digitization

Before a design can be embroidered, it needs to be digitized — converted from a graphic into a stitch file that tells the embroidery machine exactly how to run each thread. This is a skilled process, and our digitizing team has years of experience optimizing designs for different cap structures and fabric weights.

Step 3 — Sample Approval

We produce a physical sample so you can approve the look, thread colors, and placement before full production begins. This step protects you from surprises and ensures the final product matches your expectations.

Step 4 — Production

Once the sample is approved, we move into full production. In-house embroidery typically completes in 15 business days from artwork approval. Larger runs or specialty decoration options may have different timelines — we’ll communicate these clearly upfront.

Types of Embroidery We Offer

  • Flat Embroidery — classic, clean, works on any cap style
  • 3D Puff Embroidery — raised foam adds dimension and visual impact
  • Tone-on-Tone — subtle, sophisticated look with matching thread
